Specifications

Material: Multishield® Faraday Shielding Material

Weight: .13 lbs (.06 kgs) / m2

Sizes:

  • 1 meter squared -  92 cm length x 108 cm width
  • 2 meters squared  -  184 cm length x 108 cm width
  • 4 meters squared - 368 cm length x 108 cm width
  • 10 meters squared - 920 cm length x 108 cm width
  • 30 meters squared - 27.6 m length x 108 cm width

For shielding smart meters Safer EMF recommends covering a large surface of the internal wall.  A minimum size of 4 metres squared (cut in half lengthways) (or 2 x 2 meter squared) is recommended.  Larger shields are likely to result in better shielding outcomes.

Installation Notes:

  • Attach to surfaces using double sided tape or any other adhesive
  • Overlap sections by 5 cm to ensure there are no gaps for best protection
  • Tape the joints with faraday tape for best shielding results
  • Measure with an EMF Meter after installation to ensure the desired result is achieved
  • When the fabric is installed, its location, quantity and proper installation should be determined by a trained EMF specialist like Safer EMF. This fabric may reflect Radio Frequency Radiation and improper installation can result in increased exposure.
  • In order to ensure optimum screening performance, the specialist or consultant should assess the living space for Radio Frequency “RF” Radiation and AC Electric Fields. Before and after measurements are important to determine the overall effectiveness of the shield.
